Однажды капитан корабля записал в судовом журнале:
"Сегодня помощник капитана был пьян". Когда помощник пришел
в себя, он был вне себя от гнева, попросил капитана вычеркнуть
запись и поклялся, что впредь с ним никогда не случится ничего
подобного. На что капитан отпарировал: "В судовом журнале моего
корабля мы должны писать правду, только правду и ничего, кроме
правды".
Через несколько дней уже помощник капитана вел судо-
вой журнал, в котором сделал такую запись: "Сегодня капитан был
трезвым".
