KeyedAccess is a module for Microsoft Access that allows you to generate and validate 16 digit Reg ID/Product Keys, or to generate an installation-specific Serial Number on the end-user's computer which can be unlocked with a corresponding Unlock Code. Using KeyedAccess means you can create shareware-type versions of your MS Access application where some functionality is locked and is only unlocked when the user enters a valid key.
When using the Installation Serial Number and Unlock Code registration scheme, KeyedAccess pulls information from the end-user's computer hardware to build a Serial Number that requires a specific KeyedAccess-generated Unlock Code. An installation on a different computer generates a different Serial Number and requires a different Unlock Code, which the user will have to contact you for (a facility for generating Unlock Codes is included with KeyedAccess). This allows you to control where registered versions of your software are installed.
KeyedAccess will let you set multiple "locks" so your application can be unlocked using keys generated for the current version of your software, for previous versions, or for all versions of your software (i.e.: A "master key"). A separate database file is provided to generate valid keys so the secrets of your registration scheme are not revealed to your users.
KeyedAccess is available for Access 97, 2000, 2002/XP, and 2003.
