MirrorFolder is backup software for Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003. It supports both real-time mirroring and automatic synchronization of folders/drives from a local drive to another local/network/removable drives. It can be used on standalone computers as well in a networked environment for mirroring files on remote computer through LAN.
Key features:
* Fully integrated with Windows. It has simple, intuitive and flexible user interface through property page of the folder/drive in Explorer. No need to run a separate program file. Once a mirror folder/drive is set up, mirroring will be done in the background without requiring any further effort from the user saving his/her valuable time.
* Supports real-time mirroring of folders/drives at system level. It is implemented in a device driver that performs RAID-1 type of mirroring on local/network drives in software on per file basis. It can also mirror exclusively opened files in real-time mode.
* Supports automatic synchronization of mirrors in off-line mode at the specified time/ interval. It is implemented in a service program and works silently in the background. Options like bi-directional synchronization, synchronization on startup/shutdown, etc., are also available.
* Supports exclusion/inclusion of some file types/subfolders for mirroring. It also allows mirroring of an entire drive, including system drive, on another local drive. Mirror drive can be used to boot and run the system in case the source drive fails.
* Allows automatic archiving of mirror files inside a ZIP file periodically.
* Uses very little system resources, e.g., memory, processor time, etc., to run itself.
