My FTP Places is an FTP client software which turns Windows Explorer into a full-featured FTP client with built-in hierarchical FTP site manager. The main difference between My FTP Places and other FTP clients is that My FTP Places lets you to access FTP sites just like folders on your disk. The program lets you view or edit remote files and automatically uploads changes back to the FTP server. It supports background file transfers, batch uploads and downloads, passive mode transfers, site-to-site transfers. It lets you change permissions on UNIX-like servers, resume broken downloads and uploads, issue custom FTP commands, specify user-defined FTP commands to automatically send after logon. My FTP Places supports various types of firewalls (including Socks V4 and V5). The program gives you ability to browse FTP sites even without being connected to the Internet utilizing the cached directories for the FTP servers that have previously been visited.
As My FTP Places is integrated into Windows Explorer, it lets you perform file transfers through the familiar Windows Explorer user interface. It lets you upload and download files by dragging and droppping them between your hard disk and remote FTP sites, or by using copy and paste methods.
