TigerCad is a Windows 2D CAD software package aimed primarily at mechanical, architectural and diagramming applications. It is suitable for serious users who want to make reasonably complex drawings, with an emphasis on speed, efficiency and elegance of use. It is also approachable for newcomers - having a comprehensive manual and online help system including example drawings and a tutorial. It is strongly oriented to the 2D drawing process. With a carefully designed & very compact feature-set, which lets you master the complete application quickly, without compromising drafting flexibility. The familiar Windows Multiple-Document style which means you can work on several drawings at once. Drawings can contain: lines, arcs, text, dimensions and hatched areas. All the usual CAD drawing and editing tools are provided including advanced features like curve-fitting, multiple parallels, tangents etc. TigerCad has a very powerful and flexible system for cutting and pasting, which makes it easy to: copy graphics from one drawing to another, create libraries of re-usable graphics, drag sections of a drawing around with visual feedback, scale, rotate and mirror graphics with visual feedback. You can convert your drawings to the industry-wide CAD format DXF. After your free trial, you can buy a permanent license, or very inexpensive 30-day licenses for intermittent use.
